Friday evenings - 5-7pm - Starting 01/08/2025 and concluding 19/09/2025

Over eight structured weeks, this course offers a supportive environment to develop your oil painting skills while working directly from a still life arrangement.

Youll be guided through the process of observation and interpretation, beginning with a foundational sketch that explores composition, proportion, tone, and form.

Through focused painting exercises, well examine how shifts in colour valuelightness and darknesscan create the illusion of depth and three-dimensionality.

Students will also learn practical approaches to rendering different surface qualities, from reflective metals to soft fabrics.

Suitable for beginners through to intermediate students, this course aims to build confidence and extend your individual painting style.
