The much-loved Katoomba Falls Kiosk has reopened, and Council is inviting the community to the official opening on Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 March 2025.
It will feature live music and entertainment, food trucks and refreshments, games, giveaways and activities, a magic show, face painting, balloon twisting, colouring comp and party bags, art shows, a best Instagram pic competition, and a dog show event on Sunday.
The Katoomba Falls Kiosk, nestled within Katoomba Falls Reserve, has been an iconic part of the Blue Mountains landscape for more than a century.
From its humble beginnings as a tent known as ‘Blighty’ in the late 1800s, to the brick structure that stands today, the Katoomba Falls Kiosk has long been a beloved place where visitors have gathered to rest, relax, and marvel at the magnificent views.
The heritage-listed building has now been refreshed and repurposed, offering a chance to enjoy coffee and food with some of the most breathtaking views over the Jamison Valley.
Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill will attend to officially open the local landmark.
The Katoomba Falls Kiosk is open from 8am to 4pm, seven days a week.
The opening event will take place from 10am on 15 and 16 March at Katoomba Falls Kiosk, Cliff Dr, Katoomba. There is no need to RSVP, just bring your friends and family for a weekend of fun. Dogs are welcome, however must be kept on leads.
