Katoomba Spotlight tour
Shh! What was that? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Join our National Parks Discovery Ranger, for an exciting expedition under the stars. We’ll discover the amazing creatures of the night on this easy 2hr tour.

Get ready to tip-toe down the track amongst the moonlit gum trees and learn more about the wonderful nocturnal animals that live in the Blue Mountains. We may come across owls, possums, sugar gliders and little microbats, as they emerge from their homes for their night time activities. Come prepared with your own torch, warm clothing, comfortable shoes and a sense of adventure.

Grading: Easy. Recommended for children 5 years and above.

Guided: Yes.

Wheelchair access: Medium.
• Some assistance may be required to participate parts of this tour.
• Paths are sealed but there are some gradual slopes and patches of grass and gravel.
• Accessible toilets are available.
Location:
Meeting place: Old Katoomba Falls Kiosk at the Prince Henry picnic area, Cliff Drive, Katoomba. Meet at 4.45pm.

Getting there:
Prince Henry picnic area is in the Katoomba area of Blue Mountains National Park.
• Turn off the Great Western Highway at Katoomba and follow directions to Cliff Drive.
• Prince Henry picnic area is at the Old Katoomba Falls Kiosk, and opposite the Blue Mountains Tourist Park.
Parking is available across the road in the carpark, including several designated disabled spots and toilets.
