Six years ago a group of Blue Mountains musicians travelled to the Northern Territory to play music with Ray Dimakarri Dixon. Ray is a proud leader in Australia’s indigenous music scene. What evolved is a unique musical partnership and the establishment of a rocking eight-piece band of Northern Territory and Blue Mountains musicians - the Standing Strong Band.

Standing Strong Band is a super group music collaboration featuring esteemed Northern Territory musician Ray Dimakarri Dixon and acclaimed emerging artist Stuart Joel Nuggett, performing with Blue Mountains based musicians Terry Morgan, Ian Neil Morrison, Skye Evans, Nic Danta, Chet Miller, Lulu Levins-Skehill.

In January-February 2025, the Standing Strong Band are undertaking a tour in New South Wales.
Blue Mountains Theatre is honoured to host this auspicious concert celebration of country, culture, language and more, in what promises to be a very special evening of music and song.
