Beginners ceramics hand-building workshop
A three class introduction to the many elements of hand building with clay

Tickets: Members $255, non-members $285
Material fees: Clay for sale at an extra cost. Firing at an extra cost calculated by weight.

Tutor: Bella Taylor

Class size: 7 students maximum

Class structure: 3 weeks, Saturday 11th January + Saturday 18th January + Saturday 1st February

Class time: 10am-2pm

Level: designed for beginner students

Wear: comfortable work clothes and enclosed shoes

In our first class:

Explore the fundamentals of hand-building techniques
Learn to Pinch pot, coil, make a slab, shape a slab and join your work

In our second class:

Further your new skills by working on your own project
Delve into options for decorating your work

In our final class:

We prepare our work for glazing
Learn how to glaze and prepare your pieces for the kiln
