Following the huge success of last year’s Blue Mountains Steam FunFest, the 2024 school holidays are the backdrop for the expanded, extended, and extraordinary event that is shaping up as the biggest three days in the Lower Mountains this year.
From 12-14 July, with extra exhibits, extra activities and extra FUN, this creative collection of contraptions and steam equipment of all shapes and sizes is a must-see for visitors of all interests. With live music*, face-painting*, veteran cars*, vintage agricultural machines and more, the Museum comes alive with excitement while regular displays of unique exhibits are open to all, telling the remarkable tales of ‘rail across the mountains’ over 150 years of transport history.
A heritage Sydney Steam Tram plus tramcar are joined on the Museum’s dedicated tracks by ‘Stevo’ the tank engine with an 1890 era carriage and visitors can ride on both steam attractions. This event has become a highlight for families, rail fans and fun-lovers alike so book now to secure time slots for your two rides (subject to variation at short notice for operational reasons).
