Recapture the sounds and sights of the huffing and puffing of a bygone era at Valley Heights Rail Museum. After a three week ‘mid-winter’ break without heritage action, the popular Valley Heights Mixed train returns to the tracks on Sunday 14 August. Enjoy the padded comfort of an 1890 timber carriage with 120 year old steam locomotive 'Stevo' in charge, as you are transported back to the ‘Good Old Days’. The Museum's volunteers are ready to welcome boys and girls, mums and dads, grandmas and grandpas, to enjoy the experience of this special place. Don’t forget to browse the shop for unique gifts or souvenirs then sit back in the café for a pie, sausage roll, barista coffee, cold drink or ice cream. Plan your day by booking online (highly recommended) and secure your seat on one of the six 20 minute rides departing hourly from 10:30 until 14:30 (last ride 15:15).
