Our guest speaker is John Low whose talk will relate to his latest book, “Blue Mountains Byways”.

John will talk about the importance of stories to our relationship with the places in which we live. He will tell a few stories drawn from the history of the Blue Mountains, some included in the book and some not.
John Low was the Local Studies Librarian at the Blue Mountains City Library 1982-2007. In 2012 he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his service to the Blue Mountains as a librarian and local historian. He was on the Blue Mountains City Council’s Heritage Advisory Committee 2014–2022.

John has published numerous articles on local history and several books including Blue Mountains Byways (2021).
