An evening of energetic, passionate flamenco guitar from acclaimed guitarist Paco Lara, accompanied by flamenco dancer Deya Miranda Giner.
Paco Lara hails from the birthplace and cradle of flamenco- Jerez de la Frontera, in Spain. Embodying the unmistakable and genuine Jerez style of flamenco guitar playing, Paco Lara presents flamenco guitar in all its authenticity, culture and artistry.
Paco Lara has enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a formidable soloist, revered accompanist in the specialised world of flamenco singing (Cante), international touring artist and recording artist of over 20 albums.
In 2017, Paco moved his family to Australia and has since called Down Under home. He is now recognised as Australia’s most prominent flamenco guitarist, cementing his place at the top of the Australian music scene with recent success at the Sydney Opera House and the Adelaide Guitar Festival in 2021. For this special concert, Paco Lara will interpret themes from his new album The Andalusian Guitar and some of the greatest guitar classics of all time, from composers including Paco de Lucia, John Williams and Joaquin Rodrigo.
This unforgettable evening will transport the audience to Southern Spain through the captivating sound of Paco’s guitar, flamenco dance and his musicians.
