Public Open Days restart at Valley Heights Rail Museum on Sunday 7 November. With many tasks involving gardening, cleaning, pest inspections plus locomotive & carriage maintenance and more, volunteers are preparing for visitors, young and old, to again enjoy the ambience of the 1914 Locomotive Depot. With a steam train ride* included in admission price, everyone can enjoy the sights and sounds of yesteryear plus the remarkable engines, carriages, wagons and railway paraphernalia that make up this showcase of transport heritage in the Mountains. There are seven public days before Christmas, (including four ‘Santa’ days in December) - pick a date and then choose morning or afternoon session. Pre-booking is essential so check out the website for full details.
