In the exhibition Landscapes of Anxiety artist Gary Shinfield explores ideas based around the three geographical forms that dominate the landscape of the Blue Mountains – the plateau, the escarpment and the valley. These landforms are reinterpreted as formal, subjective and metaphoric images carrying the memory of recent and future events; drought, fires, flooding and human presence.
