The inaugural Blackheath Chamber Music Festival will open on the Anzac weekend, 23-26 April 2021, with an additional ‘Festival Special’ in July. Catherine Harker, Festival Director, says she is excited to have engaged renowned Australian Ensembles at the peak of their international reputations: 10 performances with a total of 52 musicians. “We have worked tirelessly throughout 2020 to prepare this Festival against a backdrop of a devastated arts industry and ongoing uncertainty due to ever-changing Covid restrictions. We intend the Festival to be an annual event in the Blue Mountains—part of the elite chamber music circuit that will bring an influx of music-lovers to the upper Blue Mountains.”
There will be a high demand for these performances due to venue capacity, so booking early is advisable.
