Dreams of Falling creates diaphanous music both as an end in itself and to frame the poetry of Walkley Award-winning writer John Shand. This new incarnation of the group comprises acclaimed violinist Rebecca Daniel, Celtic harpist Martyn Cook and John on percussion and words. The music variously draws on English and Celtic folk traditions, or consists of improvised soundscapes and dialogues. When combined with poetry that can be meditative, searing, humorous, erotic or surreal, the upshot is a series of sonic dreams in which to forget a more prosaic world.

Avalon Restaurant, 18 Katoomba Street Katoomba
