What's On

Student Video/Poster Competition

When:
Every day until Fri 31 Jul 2020
Details:
Topic: Changing Attitudes to Asylum Seekers.

Linked Text: The Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group in conjunction with Rural Australian for Refugees are running a high school student video/poster competition that can be done completely at home. We are challenging young Australians to make a 1 minute video or an A3 poster which seeks to make a positive change in attitudes to people seeking asylum. This is a great opportunity to change hearts and minds and inspire positive change for refugees.

Heaps of resources are provided for student and teacher at the website link below including assessment tasks, class activities, fact sheets and links to online resources.

Entries can be uploaded now but the final deadline is on July 31, with winners announced in September 2020. Cash prizes to be won.
