On Saturday, 21st September, 9am-1pm you will learn about how to design sustainable systems, including your own garden, following ecological concepts for site observation and design methodology. According to permaculture co-founder, Bill Mollison, "Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system." Lyttleton Stores’ Manu is a Permaculturalist, small scale food grower and researcher in regenerative agriculture. $40 includes tuition, a workbook and refreshments. Please BYO lunch or purchase treats in store.
