Introduction to Native Bees

Sat 15 Jun 2019

Only $40.00!
Did you know that there are over 2000 species of wild bees in Australia? Join PhD researcher, Amelie Vanderstock in learning about our native bees, how we can recognise them and where we can find them.

This will be a participatory workshop where we will see who is buzzing in the Lyttleton garden with a 'Wild Pollinator Count' together. We’ll discuss which native bees we can find in the Mountains, what we can we do to support them, and of course, share the buzz on native bees.

Amelie regularly facilitates ecology workshops for all ages with local councils and community groups. She has been an educator for 10 years, and recently facilitated lets BEE Scientists; an experimental ecology course for primary and high school aged students in the Blue Mountains.

All workshop materials are included. There will be some helpful ID pamphlets to continue your identification skills at home!

Book online at the website link, in store or phone.
