The internationally acclaimed Sydney Balalaika Orchestra is a 28 piece Russian folk orchestra that has captivated audiences in Moscow, St Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Siberia, Beijing, Auckland and throughout Australia.

Under the direction of Victor Serghie, the Sydney Balalaika Orchestra has long been renowned amongst concert-goers for its sublime performances. A talented and meticulous arranger, Victor Serghie creates intricate and beautiful arrangements of authentic Russian folk tunes and other melodies, the essence of which is imbued in the heart and soul of Russia.

Dressed in stunning Russian costumes, Sydney Balalaika Orchestra perform on traditional folk instruments including balalaika, bayan, domra and cimbalom.

Vibrant, soulful and unforgettable – audiences will be entranced by the beautiful vocals and dazzling music that captures the essence, magic and mystery of Russia - with themes of the countryside, trees, rivers, lakes and, of course, love – often unrequited!
