Woodford Academy – Turning the Heat up on Pests - part of the Seniors Festival 2019

In February, the Woodford Academy will become the first property in Australia to undergo a ‘non toxic’ pest control treatment, as part of the National Trust’s ongoing commitment to conservation.

The treatment involves progressively heating the interiors of the Blue Mountains oldest building to 55ºC. The treatment targets borers and silverfish.

Join National Trust Collections Manager Rebecca Pinchin and Alex Roach from ‘Modified Atmospheres’ to discover more about the fascinating conservation work being undertaken.

Cost:
Adults $10, seniors/students (5 -15 years) $8, Family $25 (2 adults & 2 children), Child under 5 free. Your ticket includes: Museum Entry, talk & guided museum tour
