What's On

Blue Mountains Edible Garden Festival and Trail

When:
Start:Sat 03 Mar 2018
End:Sun 04 Mar 2018
Details:
Dozens of gardens from Lapstone to Hartley and throughout the mountains will be open to visitors from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm on the weekend.

Visitors to the trail will be able to talk to the gardeners about their methods. Methods such as the use of companion plants to reduce pests, mulches to protect the soil, compost to bring the soil to life, seed saving to maintain food security and so many more techniques.
As well, there will be a number of workshops to help people along the way to creating their own edible paradise.

Edible gardens can provide beauty, healthy food, delight for the family and produce to share. Food growers are saving money, reducing food miles and contributing to a more sustainable planet.
