This wonderful family occasion is part of the "By the River" series of events coordinated by Penrith City Council. This event is a great way to experience the exceptional musical talents of local performers.

This is a free, family-friendly event between 11am and 4pm on 24 September 2017 at Tench Reserve, Tench Avenue, Jamisontown.

The following acts will be performing on the day:

Hannah Beeby: Hannah is a 16 year old local high school student who studies music at the Penrith Conservatorium of Music. She is a committed member of the Western Sydney PULSE Vocal Ensemble and a variety of school ensembles including the school ukulele group. She has worked with the Blue Mountains Musical Society and has participated in various musicals locally and at school.

Deers From Embers: With a mix of captivating melodies and haunting female vocals, Deers from Embers' original songs are reminiscent of ghost and camfire stories from years gone by.

Karleigh Rose: Karleigh has been singing since she was nine. She has studied music and now sings all over Sydney! She is available for weddings and events and also has an EP available on iTunes.

Jake Edgely: Jake started his musical pursuits by teaching himself guitar via the internet in 2005 followed shortly by classical-opera singing lessons. In April 2013 Jake appeared on 'The Voice' Australia and music quickly grew to a full-blown career choice as he developed an intense passion for solving the puzzles that music threw at him.

Kristian Jackson: A native of Western Sydney's, Penrith, NSW, Kristian studied Music at Southern Cross University, LIsmore before moving to Brisbane for the best part of a decade. Kristian has been back living in his hometown for ten years now and is an outspoken advocate for the promotion of original talent and music in the local area.

Emily Anderson: From a young age Emily has always participated in eisteddfods, choirs and dance concerts. She is always eager to participate in community events such as Christmas carols, Talents Quests and in recent years participated in Council's Junior Mayor Program.

The M.A.D Factory: It's no secret that the music industry has drastically changed over the past decades. Responding to a need for artist development and "New Music Industry" education in the local area, Penrith artist, Kristian Jackson, has founded The M.A.D Factory. The M.A.D Factory exists to develop local performing and recording artists through contemporary ensembles, songwriter mentoring and career development, focussing on successful pathways in the new music industry.
