The Friday 9-hole Championship’s second round was completed on Friday. Mick Lonergan had a good day with 19 points to win the round. The last round is this Friday, and anyone can still win!
Saturday 15th May was our annual Hams Day sponsored by our Clayton’s Club. This is a Mixed Single Stableford where almost everyone wins a prize. We hosted visitors from Wentworth Falls, Leura, NSW, PGA, Campbelltown and Belmont. The men’s winner was Ian Griffiths (11) with 44 points, with runner-up Brett Scanlon (11) with 39. The women’s winner was Etsuko Saxton (41) with 37 points OCB over Rhonda Lonergan (22) 27 points. The Men’s Nearest-the-Pin winners were: on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making), Ossie Antaw (292cm). On the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) it was Alistair Campbell (128cm). The 7th (SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing) was won by Jason Duke (135cm), the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) by Graham Dowdell (180cm), the 14th (Scully Legal) by Steve Tolhurst (310cm) and the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, it was Dave Robertson at 94cm. Since Dave was within 1.5 metres, he won the Pro-Pin, pocketing $682! The Women’s NTP’s went to Rebecca Brown on both the 5th (900cm) and 14th (281cm), and to Rhonda Lonergan on the 13th.
