Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 28th November - Sunday 2nd December

Wednesday 28th November was rained out.
On Saturday 1st December, Dave Wood sponsored the Lindsay Last Memorial to the tune of $500. Lindsay was a popular local plumber who excelled at gold and squash. The event was run in conjunction with our Monthly Medal and a White Course Single Stableford. The winner of the Lindsay Last Memorial for 2018 and our Monthly Medal was Andrew Komma (17) 60. Runner-up for the 4th time was our sponsor, Dave Wood (11) 60. Ossie Antaw won the best Scratch (71) while Ken Scully (18) 67 and Steve Rabone (15, 68) benefited from Dave’s generosity. We also ran a Single Stableford that was won by Peter Kailofer (24) 42 over Greg McDonald (snr) (20) 40. Balls went to 32 for the Single Stableford and 71 for the Stroke round. Saturday's Nearest the Pins awards and the NTP sponsors are as follows. 2nd hole sponsored by Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making, Andrew Lawson 137cm. 5th hole sponsored by Leading Edge Computers, Katoomba, Graham Dowdell 417cm. 7th hole sponsored SiLLY MiLLY Kids Clothing Michael Shelton 180cm. 13th hole, sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes, Jon Still 351cm. 14th hole sponsored by Scully Legal, Ian Evans 376cm. 17th hole, sponsored by Ben Cameron, Roger Sanderson 165cm.
Thursday 29th November was a Stroke event sponsored by Carrie Soady. Mandy McAlister took home the spoils with an excellent 75 off 29. Ros Starkey (42) was the runner-up with 78. Ros also won the Blackheath Vegie Patch- sponsored 13th hole NTP, and Mandy won the putting comp with 32 putts. Balls went to 80.
Saturday 1st December was a Single Stableford sponsored by Marie Griffiths. Rhonda Lonergan (23) won OCB over Lesley Robinson (23), both with 36 points. Di Landsberg won the 2nd hole NTP and Jean Simpson the 13th hole Vegie Patch-sponsored 13th. Balls went to 29.
Our 9-hole Single Stableford Comp was won by John Bromhead with 21 points OCB. This comp has an entrance fee of $5 for members and $15 for visitors with a handicap. To play, all you need is a marker. Our Pro-Shop can organise you into a game. Next Friday the Comp evolves into 3 weeks of competition where the best 2 scores (aggregate) win the “2018 9 hole Comp”. Please participate!
