Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 26th December - Saturday 29th December
Wednesday 26th December was a Single Stableford. Brian Tulloch (16) won with 43 points with Blake Cameron (20) 39 second. Balls went to 34 OCB.
The Friday 9-hole Championship’s 3rd and final round resulted in Warren Westcott having the highest aggregate stableford score from 2 of the rounds, and winning! There was a trophy! After this excitement, Fridays will revert to a 9-hole medley stableford comp open to anyone with a Golf Australia handicap. Cost, $5 for members and $15 for non-members. Play is anytime, but for those without someone to play with, contact the Pro-shop.
Saturday 29th December
Saturday 29th was a Medley Single Stableford and 2BBB. The day was good for golf with warm clear weather and a variable westerly wind. The sun shone on our Captain, Michael Mole (13) who won with 42 points. Phil Binskin came second with 40 off 18. Roger Pierce (14) and Carlos Denoso (13) (our current Men’s 4BBB Champions) managed 48 points to win this 4BBB. Balls went to 34 OCB. Nearest-the-Pin winners were: on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making), Mark Allen (464cm). On the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) it was Andrew Lawson 154cm. The 7th (SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing) was won by Nat Foster (231cm), the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) by Helen Rabone (234cm), the 14th (Scully Legal) by Phil Binskin (169cm) and on the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, Darrell Gawthorpe was closest.
Remember our free Junior Clinics from 3.45 to 4.30pm during school terms. Any junior of school age is most welcome. No equipment required, just ring Darrin to find out more, or just turn up.
