Blackheath Golf Results Thursday 22nd - Sunday 25th November

Thursday 22nd November was a Single Stableford sponsored by Sandra Draper. Di Pease (23) won with 37 points over Jennifer Wild (32) with 33. Nearest-the Pin on the Blackheath Vegie Patch-sponsored 13th was Yvonne Murray while Jean Simpson won the 7th. Balls went to 25.
Wednesday 31st October was our usual Single Stableford and 2BBB. Joe Landsberg (10) won with 41 points over Graham Jones (18) with 39. The 2BBB winners were Joe and Mick Strong (28) with 47 points OCB over Garry Way (16) and Graham Jones. Graham won the 5th NTP (212cm) and Roger Pierce the 17th (160cm). Balls went to 34 OCB.
Saturday 24th November was our annual Medley 2BBB and Single Stableford Rhododendron Day sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes and the Rhodo Committee. The weather was fine and windy. We hosted visitors from Killara, Pymble, Hurstville, Wentworth Falls, Hope Island and Northbridge. Mick Hillier (11) won the Men’s Single Stableford with 39 points and Louise Stevenson (8) won the Women’s with 38. Men’s R/U was Rua Kenny (22) with 38 and Women’s R/U was Kerry Wynne (36) with 36. 2BBB winners were Ian Foulsham and Kerry Wynne with 48 points. The Nearest-the-Pin winner on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making) was Kit Newcombe (161cm). On the 5th (Office Choice/LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Blue Mountains) Ian Evans hit it to 280cm. The 7th (SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing) was Kit Newcombe’s at 144cm. On the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) Mick Hillier got to 108cm. On the 14th (Ken Scully Legal) it was Brian Tulloch (330cm) and on the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, Geoff Hilder hit it to 150cm. Since the day was a medley event there were more prizes. NTP for 2nd shot on the 12th went to Adam Preen (210cm) and the Women’s Long Drive on the 9th was won by Louise Stevenson. On Fridays we ran the local Volkswagon Scramble. The team of Jonathan Van Veen, Brendon Van Veen, Brett Scanlon and Paul Cinat progressed to the next round. Next Friday our usual 9-hole comp will resume. This comp is a winner-takes-all with an entrance fee of $5 (plus green fees which are $0 for members). To play, all you need is a marker. Our Pro-Shop can organise you into a game.
