Next week the Men compete for the Summer Cup which is an OPEN EVENT dating back to 1924.The Women continue their Summer Comp.

Course conditions remain excellent with true greens and lush fairways.

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 3rd January was our weekly Single Stableford and 2BBB. Frank Sultana (12) 41 won $60 by beating Graeme Dowdell (11) on count back. Graeme won $40. The $45 each 2BBB went to Charlie Vella (21) and Frank with 48 points. Balls went to 34 points OCB. NTP at the 5th was Michael Mole (500cm) and at the 17th Graham Jones (170cm).

On Saturday 6th January our Tuesday Club sponsored the "SHORT COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS". This was an extremely enjoyable Stableford event played from the Yellow Course, which is much shorter than the usual setup. Shane Murphy (3) won the Cup with a score of 40. He played the short course in 4 under par! Barry Simpson (10) had a remarkable round of 38. He played the course in 2 under! Barry, after running up in the scratch event, won the Nett event with a massive 48 points. Michael Thompson (14) from Mollymook (a sister club), came second with 46 points.

Saturday's Nearest the Pins awards and the NTP sponsors are as follows. 2nd hole sponsored by Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making, Barry again 243cm. 5th hole sponsored by Office Choice Blue Mountains, President Ian Foulsham 233cm. 7th hole sponsored by Paul and Gabrielle Loneragan, Andrew Lawson 94cm. 13th hole, sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes, Larry Manning 111cm. 14th hole, Graeme Dowdell 120cm. 17th hole, sponsored by Ben Cameron, Michael Thompson 244cm. The 17th Pro-Pin was not won, so will jackpot next week. Balls went to 41 points.
