Saturday 3rd March was the first round of our Club Championships, held in conjunction with the Monthly Medal. A White Course Single Stableford was also held for those who felt like enjoying their golf. Bob Montgomery (20) 62 won the Medal from Nat Foster (4) 63. These were two terrific rounds. Louise recorded the best Scratch score as well as winning the putting competition with only 31 strokes. Yvonne Murray won the Gold Medal playoff. NTP on the 7th went to Louise Stevenson, and on the “Blackheath Vegie Patch”-sponsored 13th to Jeanette Hawkins. Balls were won by Margaret, Louise, Maree Griffiths, Cindy Fitzgerald, Yvonne, Joan Aitken, Carrie Soady and Celine Galvin.

DISTRICT PENNANTS

On Sunday 4th March our two surviving Pennants Teams again travelled to Leura to replay last week’s washed-out round. This was the final day of the Round-Robin series. We did not fare well. Our Seniors team lost 4.5-1.5 and our Kortum Shield Team lost 2-1. So, this year we went without a Pennants trophy. Still, it was an enjoyable and competitive season with most players itching to return to do battle next year.

Our course remains in excellent condition.
