Next week is a stroke event (Monthly Medal) with an optional White Course Single Stableford.

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 25th October was the Tiger Tee Single Stableford and 2BBB with a $100 voucher for the singles winner and $60 vouchers for the 2 Ball winners. There were also runner-up prizes. We hosted visitors from Bathurst.  Andrew Price was the singles winner with 43 points off hcp 27. Shane Murphy was the runner up (6) 41 $30 voucher. The 2BBB winners were John Hollis (27) and Mark Bancroft (21) with 45 points OCB from Ray Hawkins ((24) and Peter Sweeney (18). Nearest the Pins were won by Graham Phillips on the 7th (520cm) and Dave Wood on the 13th (170cm). The drive and pitch 12th hole was won by Steve Caswell at 120cm. Balls were awarded for 36 points or more (Andrew Price, Shane Murphy, Mark Bancroft, Roger Pierce, Barry Simpson, Ray Hawkins and Ray Stanford).

On Saturday 21st October Roger Saxton and David Jones sponsored a Single Stableford and 2B Aggregate. David volunteered for sponsorship at late notice and deserves our thanks. The Single Stableford Winner was Peter Messer (19) with 43 points. The 2 Ball Aggregate was won by Brad (18) and Kevin (15) Pidgeon with 78 points, $50 vouchers each! The Scratch winner was Jack Walden (33 points).

Nearest the Pins awards and the NTP sponsors are as follows. 2nd hole sponsored by Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making, Mick Lonergan 61cm. 5th hole sponsored by Office Choice Blue Mountains, Joe Landsberg 138cm. 7th hole sponsored by Paul and Gabrielle Lonergan, Bruce Ranse 30cm. 13th hole, sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes, Brad Pidgeon 380cm. 14th Hole, Andrew Lawson 363cm. 17th hole, sponsored by Ben Cameron, Kevin Pidgeon 188cm.

BLACKHEATH LADIES

Saturday 28th October was a Single Stableford sponsored by Lynne Pressley. Marie Griffiths continued her run of form with 41 points off hcp 30 to win from Carrie Soady ((24) 36. The NTP awards went to Mandy McAlister on the 17th to Yvonne Murray on the Blackheath “Vegie Patch” 13th. Balls were won by Marie, Carrie, Louise Aaron, Kerrie-Anne Tatton, Cindy Fitzgerald, Marilyn Rowe, Chris Rhind, Yvonne Murray and Ros Starkey.

Our course conditions are now excellent with true greens and lush fairways.
