Seniors Pro-Am
Friday week (5th October) is our annual Seniors Pro-Am with Roger Davis, Mike Harwood and so on. There are still morning vacancies for any player from any Club to be a part of this great event. For a spot, ring Darrin on 47875643.

BLACKHEATH WOMEN

Thursday 20th September was a Single Stableford sponsored by Jeanette Hawkins. S.Draper (28) won with 41 points over K.Tolhurst (32) with 29. The Nearest-the-Pin on the 2nd was won by Ro Perry while the Vegie-Patch-sponsored 13th was won by Jeanette. Balls went to 35.

Saturday 22nd September was a Singe Stableford sponsored by Judy Greive. The winner was Yvonne Murray (21) 37 over Jeanette Hawkins (35) 35. Yvonne won the 5th hole NTP while Jean Simpson won the Vegie Patch 13th. Balls went to 31 points.

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 19th August was our usual Single Stableford and 2BBB. This week Karl Munchow (17) won with 40 points OCB over John Hollis (22). The 2BBB winners were Wally Shiel (22) and Andrew Price (24) with 49 points over Peter Bamford (13) and Peter Sweeney (19) on 45. Balls went to 36. Nearest-the Pin prizes went to Trevor Thomas on the 2nd (360cm) and Larry Manning on the 17th (202cm).

Saturday 22nd September was our annual “Bonus Par” event sponsored by the Clayton’s Club. We hosted a large number of visitors from Cootamundra, Goulburn, and various metropolitan Clubs. The weather was superb! Dave Robertson (16) triumphed on the day with +5 OCB over Ossie Antaw (5). Gordon Stovold (19) came 3rd with +4. Ossie won the Best Scratch with 70. Balls went to +1. The Nearest-the-Pin winner on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making) was Mick Hillier )120cm). On the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) it was Ted Griffin (246cm). Jason Duke won the SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing 7th hole (301cm). On the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) Roger Pierce got to 172cm. Jim Walsh played his shot of the year at the long 14th to get to 322cm. On the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, Geoff Hilder hit it to 75cm and also won the $149 pro-pin.

MEDLEY

Les Tucker won the Friday 9-hole comp with 22 points. This comp is a MEDLEY (men and women), with an entrance fee of $5 (plus green fees which are $0 for members). To play, all you need is a marker. Our Pro-Shop can organise you into a game.

Remember our free Junior Clinics from 3.45 to 4.30pm during school terms. Any junior of school age is most welcome. No equipment required, just ring Darrin to find out more, or just turn up.
