Blackheath Golf Results - 15th November - 19th November 2017
Wednesday 15th November was the usual Single Stableford and 2BBB. Stuart Brown recorded a terrific score of 44 from handicap 15 to win from Martin Monks (14) on 40 points. The 2BBB winners were Shane Murphy (4) and Stuart with 48 points. Brian Tulloch (16) and Rob Joyce (23) came second with 46 points. Balls went to 34 OCB. Nearest the Pins were won by Peter Messer at the 2nd (108cm) and Trevor Thomas at the 17th (52cm).
Thursday 16th November was a Single Stableford sponsored by Mary Holt. Carrie Soady (23) 32 was a narrow victor over several others with Roz Starkey (45) 31 heading the chasers to be runner-up on count back. The NTP awards were both won by Carrie, on the Blackheath “Vegie Patch” 13th and on the 17th. Balls were won by Carrie, Roz, Di Landsberg, Di Pease, Barbara. Wall, Louise Aaron, Etsuko Saxton and Yvonne Murray.
On the weekend (18th 19th) both male and female competitions were called off because of persistent rain. Unfortunately, because the course was groomed to perfection for the Blackheath Men’s Open that was scheduled for Saturday 18th. It has been RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY 17th DECEMBER.
Next week, on Saturday 25th we run a Medley Single Stableford sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes. This is “Rhododendron Day”. Oberon runs its Open on Sunday 26th.
