BLACKHEATH WOMEN

Thursday 11th October was too wet and miserable.

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 10th October was our usual Single Stableford and 2BBB. Drizzle and fog restricted the field. Roger Pierce (18) won with 39 points. Shane Murphy (3) and Stuart Brown (12) won the 2BBB with 44 points. Balls went to 34. Nearest-the Pin prizes went to Steve Rabone on the 2nd (470cm) and Shane Murphy on the 17th (132cm).

MEDLEY

Saturday 13th October was the Annual Jack Burrows Memorial Day, a Single Stableford and 2B Multiplier. This important day received luck-a-plenty with rain stopping and the course remaining firm. A large contingent of Jack’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all gofers, came to honour his memory. The day was a success. Most successful was Graham Dowdell (8) who scored 43 points in his best scratch round at the Club. The women’s winner was Leslie Robinson (23) with 37. The Multiplier winners were Cormac Miller and Ian Dalkin over Graham and Mick Hillier. Balls went to 34 OCB. The Nearest-the-Pin winner on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making) was Aiden Cullen (41cm). Dave Cullen won the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) at 323cm. Graham Dowdell won the SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing 7th hole (314cm). On the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) Mark Allen got to 136cm. Ian Fitzgerald won the 14th with the shot of the day, to 68cm. On the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, Dave Robertson hit it to 163cm.

Our Friday 9-hole Comp was defeated by the weather. This comp is a MEDLEY (men and women), with an entrance fee of $5 (plus green fees which are $0 for members). To play, all you need is a marker. Our Pro-Shop can organise you into a game.
