Closing Date for Bushfire Recovery Community Grants Program Extended
Lithgow City Council has allocated $62,500 for community groups, joint organisations and not-for-profit groups to undertake projects that enhance social recovery and preparedness activities.
The program has been made possible by funding from the Federal Government’s National Bushfire Recovery Agency and the NSW State Government’s Resilience NSW as part of the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund.
Amounts of up to $10,000 will be awarded to successful projects that contribute to bushfire recovery on a whole of community perspective. Amounts over $10,000 will also be considered on application and dependent on available funding.
The closing date for applications was 31 January but has now been extended until 12:00pm, Friday 21 February 2021 to provide more opportunity for local organisations to submit.
