Bazil is back spinning his Faulty Tales!

This Yulefest, Blue Mountains based production company, Boxboards Theatre is back with Faulty Tales - the long-running, absolutely brilliant dinner theatre parody of the greatest BBC sitcom ever made.

Playing from July 3-31 at the Palais Royale Katoomba, this year's show promises audiences a brilliant night of good food and entertainment.

Patrons will be wined and dined with a sumptuous three-course menu as they are transported into the world of their favourite sitcom.

The cast of highly talented actors focus on re-creating recognizable characters from the original series while also providing a unique modern twist.

Faulty Tales is a parody of many things - not only the original series, but also of 1970's British comedy in general. The show also brings the characters into the present day and cleverly parodies aspects of Australian society and culture.

Matthew Barry, who has not only plated the character of Bazil for 24 years but also written and directed the show for just as long, says of the show:

"From the moment you are met at the door to the end of the evening, you feel as though you are actually staying at the infamous hotel! We have a ball doing the show. It's just so wonderful in a hectic and all too serious world to help people laugh and laugh and laugh

Our show is true to the spirit of the brilliant original while tapping into current events. Every year we work a surprise character into the plot to stir things up and this year is no different. In the past we have had Mrs Painoir - a French drag artist, Baz Lurrrman, Jon Snow of Game of Thrones fame, and even Donald Trump"

Faulty Tales: Horror Hotel stars Matthew Barry of Lawson, Marnie O'Mara of Katoomba, Craig Wynn-Jones of Blaxland, Peter Hazell and Lydia Hyland
