Winter Wonders For Kids And Their Adults!
It’s winter and the holidays are fast approaching so why not book in to see some local, live theatre with your favourite young person?
The lights dim, the crowd stills, the music starts – create a memorable experience for your children or grandchildren with not one, but two programs this school holidays!
July 13 &14 - The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, brings to life one of the most-read and famous children’s books of all time. Delight in a magical experience with the whole family as you journey through four of Eric Carle’s incredible short stories –- The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
You and, more importantly, your kids will be enthralled as a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets faithfully bring these classics off the page and onto the stage.
Carle’s well-known books have captivated readers with his iconic colorful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and distinctively simple stories and the stage adaptation will continue to charm young audiences from one to 96!
A knock out success - The Daily Telegraph.
Let the older kids escape into the treehouse. With yet another 13 levels, the 78-Storey Treehouse now has a Scribbletorium, a high-security potato chip storage facility (guarded by one very angry duck!) and even an open-air movie theatre.
Speaking of movies, our friends are going to be famous! The legendary Mr Big Shot has arrived to make a Hollywood blockbuster! But when he fires Andy and replaces him with a monkey – well, a gibbon named Mel Gibbon – the battle is on. Will the Treehouse Blockbuster ever get made? Who will win the battle of Andy and Terry? And why are those mysterious spy cows turning up everywhere?
Join CDP Kids the team behind The 13, 26, 52 and now The 78--Storey Treehouse at The Joan July 17 & 18 with the newest, biggest, brightest blockbuster in the series.
All kids and family tickets: Adult $25 Children $20 Family $76 (4 people - at least one adult). Plus, there is still time to save extra dollars by subscribing to see any three kids and family shows this year including, The 78-Storey Treehouse, Lah-Lah 10th birthday, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Gruffalo’s Child.
And remember our shows are designed for kids, with audience members ranging anywhere between 6 months and 96 years old. We also don’t encourage children to be quiet – our only request is their ‘accompanying adults’ leave phones turned off until after the shows which last about 50- 60 minutes with no intermission!
