Vertical Life Film Tour (VLFT3) is in its third year and is again showcasing incredible climbing and phenomenal storytelling through eight new films - in settings that inspire the adventure community to connect (including the Blue Mountains).

The tour delivers the best of Australian vertical adventures to audiences around the globe, while also bringing the best in global climbing films at home here in Australia. With a focus on untold stories, unsung heroes and the faces we've come to know and love in climbing - the Vertical Life Film Tour has something for everyone.

From humble beginnings in 2020, the tour was created by the publisher of Vertical Life and the film geniuses behind Adventure+, to bring inspiration to worldwide climbing communities while outdoor adventure was limited. The tour has grown into a global success since, with Australian climbing films touring to over 12 countries so far.

Australian climbing culture is proudly on show in GIGANTOR - THE DOG FACE as filmmaker Ben Sanford captures athlete Zac Vertrees as he returns to climb the same route he freed 17 years ago - finding it harder than ever before. Equally, the wonder of the Australian environment is beautifully captured by filmmakers Divya Gordon and Ali Vann in their highlining film SEVEN 7 SEVEN. Both Australian films are set in the picturesque Blue Mountains and bring phenomenal imagery, incredible storytelling and a generous helping of Australian humour, to global audiences.

In our global offering, we head to Hong Kong with the short film ROUTE SETTERS to understand the genius behind the routes we climb indoors. In EVERYDAY CLIMBERS - PABLO, we’re transported to France, where a young Belgian climber takes on a bikepacking odyssey to find the best 8a in France - inspiring audiences to find adventure on their way to the crag. GRACE beautifully captures the healing that can be found through climbing, while MIDAIR reminds audiences to find the beauty in every aspect of the climbing process. Tom Randall takes us on a wild running and climbing journey in THE PROCESS and ELEVATED showcases deaf climber Sonya Wilson’s incredible journey as she changes the face of the climbing world.

Driven by the passion to tell the stories of Australian climbers to the world, and our love of bringing the global climbing community home, the tour will commence in November 2022, and premieres globally on Friday October 21 at the Beta22' Climbing Festival in Nowra, Australia.

This film will be shown at the Blue Mountains - Mt Vic Flicks - Tue, 15th Nov 2022 at 7pm and other locations across Australia.
