Bloome Park in Leura, Bullaburra Village Green, Peninsula Park in Valley Heights, and Lennox Park in Blaxland (pictured) are the next parks to be upgraded as part of the Neighbourhood Parks Program.
As construction is about to begin on the first round of neighbourhood park upgrades, Council is launching community consultation on the third round of parks.

Bloome Park in Leura, Bullaburra Village Green (Noble Street Park) in Bullaburra, Peninsula Park in Valley Heights, and Lennox Park in Blaxland are the next parks to be upgraded as part of the Neighbourhood Parks Program.

The Neighbourhood Parks Program, funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant (WSIG) Program, will renew 16 neighbourhood parks across the Blue Mountains over four years.

Community consultation on these parks is open until 20 October 2025.

Blue Mountains Mayor, Mark Greenhill, said the upgrades are about making neighbourhood parks safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for the community.

“Neighbourhood parks are at the heart of our local villages,” Cr Greenhill said.

“They are where children play, families gather and neighbours connect.

“This program will make sure our parks remain safe, inclusive and welcoming for everyone for years to come.

“We have seen from the first parks in the program that community consultation is the most important part of the process.

“We want the community to help shape these upgrades, so we encourage everyone to get involved and tell us what’s most important to them.”

The upgrades will focus on renewing play equipment that has reached the end of its serviceable life, while also improving accessibility, seating and social spaces.

Construction on these parks is scheduled to begin in April 2026, weather permitting.
