A tribute to a living legend at The Joan!

From rags to riches, Dolly Parton’s life story has remained humble and honest in her performance. After 60 years, Dolly remains both an everlasting icon and America’s sweetheart of Country Music. The Coat of Many Colours is a new show dedicated to the musical career of Dolly and the songs she made famous, showing at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre on 28 February 2019.

Starring Brooke McMullen, who just 23 is a superstar in the making. Her career follows some of the most exciting musical theatre productions, starring and working in famous shows such as Cats, Chicago Blood Brothers, Oklahoma, Bye-Bye Birdie, Hairspray and Grease.  Over the past twelve months, Brooke has ventured into the Tribute Artist world, previously starring as June Carter in the production Leaving Jackson. Brooke is thrilled to now pay tribute to one of her idols as Dolly Parton in this new and uplifting show that celebrates the decades-long success of Dolly, the most honoured female country performer of all time.

The Coat of Many Colours will feature classics and all-time favourites such as 9 to 5, Jolene, Blue Smoke, Apple Jack and the award winning, I Will Always Love You, plus more of the best country songs ever written.  Backed by a 5-piece band featuring keyboards, drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, with duet performances and massive harmonies, The Coat of Many Colours is a show not to be missed.
