TEMPORARY CLOSURE - section of Federal Pass, Katoomba - 9-11 April 2025

** Update 9 April.
Helicopter operation at Katoomba has been completed today.
Access to Ruined Castle and Mount Solitary has re-opened between Federal Pass and Scenic World – there are no planned closures for the remainder of the week.
Please note, Golden Stairs remains closed for track maintenance.**
The following walking tracks will be closed for a helicopter operation from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 April, weather permitting:
- Golden Stairs
- Ruined Castle
- Federal Pass between Scenic World and Ruined Castle
- No access to Mount Solitary from Federal Pass
Mount Solitary will be accessible from the Kedumba Valley – return by same route.
