An exciting volunteer opportunity is available at Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest for one of our upcoming exhibitions, tactile (7 April - 20 May 2018), which is part of our Autumn Exhibition Suite.

This opportunity will particularly suit people interested in art and its presentation to audiences. This is a dynamic role with the opportunity to engage visitors and maximise a positive experience for audiences.

On exhibition in Lewers House Gallery at Penrith Regional Gallery will be: artworks intended for touch. Unlike other exhibitions, visitors are invited to experience the sensory nature of the artists’ work. As part of the volunteering experience, facilitators will be asked to guide visitors through the exhibition, presenting the possibilities of the artworks while also protecting them from mistreatment. This is a vital role which will support the key theme of the exhibition and support its ongoing presentation.

Applicants are required to submit a completed application form. All applications should be submitted via email to Fiona Knoke at fiona.knoke@penrith.city

Applications close at midnight Sunday 1 April.

Successful applicants will be interviewed Wednesday 4 April and notified by Friday 6 April.

For enquiries, please contact Fiona Knoke via email at fiona.knoke@penrith.city or call 02 4735 1100
