“They have grown considerably over the years and now employ more than 20 people, assisted by volunteers, which is a clear indication that these values are shared by the community.

“I’d like to congratulate all the entrants and winners on their success. Local businesses are at the heart of the Blue Mountains economy and community. The hard work, ingenuity, resilience, and creativity of their owners and employees make our towns and villages desirable places to visit, work and live.”

Blue MOuntains City Council CEO Rosemary Dillion said, “I commend the Blue Mountains Food Co-op for demonstrating leadership when it comes to sustainable practices, which are essential for Council’s goal of transitioning to a Circular Economy.

“A healthy environment, economy and community depends on everyone doing their part and Council celebrates businesses that champion these values.”
