Slow down this summer and discover Scenic World and the surrounding Blue Mountains at your own pace. Just 90 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, Scenic World offers effortless access to rainforest trails, dramatic escarpments, and world-famous rides. Whether you’re exploring with kids or planning an escape for two, there are options for every pace.

Your Scenic World Day Pass includes:

  • Scenic Railway– Ride the world’s steepest railway in and out of the Jamison Valley.
  • Scenic Walkway– Choose between a short loop or linger longer beneath the rainforest canopy as you wander along the elevated boardwalks.
  • Scenic Cableway –Travel up close to the sandstone escarpment on the steepest cable car in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • Scenic Skyway –Glide between clifftops 270m above the rainforest and take in views of the Three Sisters and Katoomba Falls.

Seasonal highlight: Dinosaur Valley

See the rainforest turn into a prehistoric world with life-sized dinosaurs and hands-on activities for dino fans. New to this season - and exclusive to Scenic World - is the Dino Aquarium where visitors can step inside a prehistoric world where mighty marine reptiles once ruled the ancient seas.  (More info here).

Explore More with the Explorer Bus

Upgrade to the Explore More Pass and jump on the double decker bus as part of your Scenic World visit. Leave the car at home and hop on at Katoomba or Leura stations before exploring cafes, art galleries, waterfalls and lookouts before or after your Scenic World experience. (More info here).

The ultimate experience: Beyond Skyway

Step onto the roof of the Skyway cable car for an uninterrupted 360-degree view of the Blue Mountains with unbeatable views of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls and Mount Solitary. It is like nothing else on earth – literally! (More info here).

Walks for every kind of traveller

Scenic World sits on the edge of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park and connects to many iconic walks and vistas:

  • Rainforest & waterfall walks – Choose from a shorter stroll to Katoomba Cascades or explore of one of the connecting longer walks and immerse yourself in the forest.
  • Furber Steps – Descend deep into the valley for a more challenging walk, then ride the Scenic Railway back to the top of the cliff. (More here).
  • Grand Cliff Top Walk – Walk along the escarpment from Scenic World to the Three Sisters or make a weekend of it and continue all the way to Wentworth Falls – or, dip in and out of lookouts along the way. (More here).
