Successful Grant Funding for Hassan’s Walls Reserve
Lithgow Council Mayor, Stephen Lesslie said, “Without this funding from the NSW Government’s PRMFP, environmental works such as this tends to fall by the way. Council is fortunate to have received this funding for the fourth year running, and able to continue to make environmental improvements.”
Lithgow Council’s secured additional grant funding to continue important environmental improvements for the fourth consecutive year. Council has received over $180,000 in the past four years to aid in the on-going maintenance and rehabilitation in Hassan’s Walls Reserve.
This grant funding fosters the enhancement of biodiversity, reduces erosion, improves habitat value and controls noxious weeds within the reserve. Continued funding will allow this work to continue and aid in encouraging community participation through community planting days.
