New Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre
The community is invited to celebrate Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre’s 20th birthday.

Saturday 24 August marks 20 years since the new Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre opened, and we’re celebrating this exciting milestone with a birthday party and presents for everyone.

Join us on Saturday 24 August for free entry to the whole centre, group fitness class trials, waterslide and inflatables, giveaways and promotional discounts, and a BBQ.

And it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake.

Blue Mountains Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill said this is a wonderful milestone for an important community facility.

“Springwood is one of our five leisure centres and is open all year round, and the staff are second to none. This birthday celebration is as much to celebrate 20 years as it is to celebrate the team that make it a first-rate facility,” Cr Greenhill said.

“The current Centre was opened in 2004, but a public pool has stood on the site for nearly 60 years.

“The original pool was the vision of a dedicated group of residents who worked together with Council to bring it to life and provide their community a fantastic facility.

“Council replaced the original outdoor pool with the indoor facility, which updated and improved the pools, added disabled access, and provided a gym, spa and sauna facility as well.”

The centre will be open and group fitness classes will be running as normal.

Join us at Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre for birthday cake and celebrations, from 11am-6pm Saturday 24 August: here
