Finals held 21st March 2018

The night kicked off with the B Grade finals between Suicide Squad and Krakatoa. The first 5 minutes was the settling in period with no score from either side. In the 6th minute Theuy passed to Connor to open up the score for Suicide Squad. Not long after Connor took a corner and Kurt toe punted to make the score 2-0. Krakatoa fought back with Romula catching a ricocheted ball putting Krakatoa into the game. Cal, Michael and Trent worked tirelessly for their teams during the game.  Half time score 2-1 to Suicide Squad. Again the first 9 minutes remained scoreless until Romula put a reflective ball past Chris the Keeper. Charles passed the ball to Stuart who turned, scooped and sent one into the back of the net. A penalty was awarded to Suicide Squad from a hand ball but was saved by Charles. Kurt took a penalty shot and evened the score 3 all to push for extra time. A Stefan side pass to Frank led to Krakatoa taking the lead. A penalty was awarded to Suicide squad however the score remained the same to the final bell giving Krakatoa the win 4-3.

C Grade took to the court with Banjo Strings challenged by Sweet FA. Lucas hit the back of the net early putting in 2 goals with passing from Leigh and Aaron. Dominic took a great pass from Aaron pushing the score for the Banjo Strings to 3 -0. Sweet FA finally put a movement together and Rob offloaded to Paul to put the score at 3-1.With some great keeping from Ethan, Banjo Strings held the lead with another goal from Dominic. Aaron put the next one in the back of the net from a ricochet off Adam. The second half saw a revised Sweet FA with some great saves from Goalkeeper Jeff. Rob and Peter combined to bring the score up to 5-2. Then Peter trapped the ball, turned and slid one past the keeper.  Cooper persistently had chances but the defence was too strong, Lucas and Leigh continued to put a mark on the score line with Banjo Strings taking out the B Grade 8 – 3.

A Grade saw long standing champions Lockstock up against the contenders Cha Cha Bng Bang GolGol. Both teams have a large amount of talent and skill so the game was set to be one of high energy and skill level. Ethan took the first charge from a loose ball from the keeper Michael to put CBG in the lead. However Josh persisted and equalled the score soon after. Gab, Tom and Jeremy combined well together with some great breaks which allowed Jeremy to put them ahead again 2-1. Ethan rolled the ball along the sideline while Lockstock watched in awe slicing a ball passed Michael in goals. Andre was solid in defence and shut down many attack raids from Kiahn, Cal and Bill. Second half saw CBG come out looking for more with Ethan flicking a back pass to Gab securing the lead 5-2. However Lockstock never gave up with a persistent Bill taking the ball up to the keeper Charles. However the final whistle blew and Cha Cha Bang Bang GolGol took home the win.

D Grade finished off the night with Kimochi ii up against Faked Madrid. John -Paul had a great game in goals with Mischa Liam, Max and Sam playing some entertaining football. However Fake Madrid held them off all game with some great saves from Luke. Patrick Leon Martha Eli and Lucy where powerful in attack and were unforgiving to their opponents. Lucy held off the defence with some amazing knee work. Leon was his usual flamboyant self and led Fake Madrid to a 2 – 0 win.
