Blackheath Golf Weekly Results Wednesday 5th December to Sunday 9th December

BLACKHEATH WOMEN

Thursday 6th December was a Single Stableford sponsored by Carrie Soady, and Carrie (23) won with 35 points. Runner-up was Barb Wall (18) with 32 points. Nearest-the Pins went to Carrie on the Vegie Patch-sponsored 13th, while Di Pease won the 5th Pro-Pin with a shot to 298cm and $141.

Saturday 8th December was a Single Stableford and “Golden Ball” sponsored by Sue Still of Blue Mountains Escapes. Di Landsberg (26) won with 35 points OCB over Kerry Wynne (35). The Golden Ball winners were Jean Simpson, Rhonda Lonergan and Yvonne Murray. Yvonne also won the Vegie Patch-sponsored 13th NTP. Balls went to 27 OCB.

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 5th December was our usual Single Stableford and 4BBB with the usual Wednesday misty/rainy weather. Gordon Stovold (20), in a rare return to form, threatened a return to B Grade by winning with 42 points. He carried Paul Rowe (15) to victory in the 4BBB (45 points). Balls went to 37 OCB.

Saturday 8th December was a Single Stableford and 4BBB sponsored by Steve Rabone. The 4BBB winners were Peter White 25) and Graham Jones (18) with 46 points. Graham also won the Single Stableford with 43 points. Balls went to 38. The Nearest-the-Pin winner on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making) was Graham Dowdell (52cm). On the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) it was Peter Kailofer (315cm). The 7th (SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing) was Rob Dempsey (523cm). On the 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes) Jason Duke won (281cm) and on the 14th (Scully Legal) it was John Hollis (614cm). On the 17th, Ben Cameron’s hole, it was Rua Kenny, with a shot to 232cm.

Medley

The Friday 9-hole Championship run over 3 weeks started on Friday 7th. The best 2 rounds count, so all of those who faltered on Friday are not out of the running. Progress scores next week.
