Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 9th December - Saturday 12th December 2020
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 9th December was Midweek time at the Mountains premier course. 41 players hit the fairways on a beautiful morning and returned some great scores to match. The winner of the single Stableford is a great supporter of the club and was great to see Peter White (26) pick up the spoils with 45 points and also be the other half of the 2BBB team winners with partner Graham Jones (16), the pair finishing with 50 points .The runner up in the single Stableford was Wally Shiel (22) with 41 points.Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Stephen Rabone at 230 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th to Barry Simpson at 166 cms. Balls went to 37 points on a countback.The Midweek fields continue to grow so if you feel in need for some midweek exercise call Darrin on 47875643 to book.
Saturday 12th December was Hams Day proudly sponsored by the Claytons Club. There were hams and turkeys and other prizes aplenty given out to the best achievers on the day but the overall winners were Gabrielle Loneragan (28) for the ladies with 41 points and the mens winner was Peter Johnston (31) with 40 points . Nearest the pins went to ….on the BJR Climbing and Equipment sponsored 2nd to John Wilson at 380 cms, on the spare hole in lieu of the 5th sponsored by Leading Edge Computers Katoomba to Rhonda Lonergan with a Hole-In-One the very first on the new hole, on the 7th sponsored by Monocure 3D Printing Products to John VanVeen at 600 cms, on the 13th sponsored by Victor Kanjian to Stuart Brown at 378 cms, on the 14th sponsored by Ken Scully to Greg Nankervis at 250 cms and on the 17th sponsored by Ben Cameron’s One Five Five to Paul Cinat at 274 cms. The Propin remains intact and jackpots to next week. Balls went to 36 points.Next Saturday is the Annual Medley Christmas Ambrose sponsored by the Nankervis family. Blackheath Ladies….Thursday 10th December was a single Stableford . A good field headed off but there can be only one winner with Di Pease(28) winning the day with a fine 38 points ahead of runner up, Terry Neilsen (35) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the Loneragan Family sponsored 7th went to Nola Lavers, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th to Louise Stevenson and on the 17th to Chris Rhind. Balls went to 31 points. Next Thursday is Bingo,Bongo,Bango closing day and Christmas lunch so come on ladies join in the fun and sample some fine Christmas fare to finish off the year.
