BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 6th February was our usual Single Stableford and 2BBB. Matt Windsor (21) had a once-in-a-lifetime 48 points. Roger Saxton (16) had a great day getting to 42 points, but 2nd place. The 2BBB spoils went to Andrew Price (18) and Matt, 52 points! Roger and Ian Griffiths (8) came second with 47. Balls went to 35 points. NTP winner on the 2nd was John Holmes (235cm) and on the 17th, Ian Griffiths (256cm).

Saturday 9th February was a 2-man Ambrose sponsored by Phil Binskin and Graham Purves. We also ran a Single Stableford. The events were well-supported. It rained at midday for 30 minutes, upsetting some teams, but not Phil and Graham, who won with 60.3. They generously refused the prize so Paul Abbott and Josh Lawler (61), moved up a space into first, and Paul De Lange and Tas Semih (61.5) into second. The Single Stableford went to Paul Jones (18) with 36 points. Balls went to 63.8 on countback. Saturday's Nearest the Pins awards and the NTP sponsors are as follows. 2nd hole sponsored by Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making, Paul Rowe 10cm! 5th hole sponsored by Leading Edge Computers, Katoomba, Darrell Gawthorpe 147cm. 7th hole sponsored by SiLLY MiLLY Kids Clothing, Paul De Lange 158cm. 13th hole, sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes, Phil Binskin 148cm. 14th hole sponsored by Scully Legal, Rob Dempsey 410cm. 17th hole, sponsored by Ben Cameron, was won by Dave Robertson with a shot to 233cm.

Blackheath Women

Thursday 7th Feb was the Desley Alexander Opening Day, sponsored by Ron Alexander. Kerry Wynne (34) scored 34 to win. Louise Aaron (34) was runner-up with 33. The 2nd nearest the pin, sponsored by Gabrielle and Paul Loneragan, and also the 5th NTP, were won by Carrie Soady. The Blackheath Vegie-Patch-sponsored 13th was won by Yvonne Murray

Saturday 9th Feb was a Single Stableford sponsored by Louise Aaron. The winner was Maree Griffiths (27) with 26 followed by Jean Simpson (26) 26. The 5th NTP (sponsors P&G Loneragan) was won by Kerry Wynne, the 7th by Carrie Soady, and the Vegie Patch 13th by Maree Griffiths.

Medley

Brian Tulloch won our Friday 9-hole stableford comp with 24 excellent points. This comp is open to anyone with a GA handicap. $5 for members and $15 for non-members. All you need is a marker.
