Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 30th January - Saturday 2nd February 2019
Wednesday 30th January was our monthly Tiger Tee Single Stableford and 2BBB. Robert Dempsey (9) won $100 by pipping Joe Landsberg (10) OCB with 37 points. Joe teamed with Ian Fitzgerald (17) to win the 2BBB with 46 points. The prize was $60 each. Runners-up were Garry Way (17) and Rob Dempsey with 45 points. Balls went to 36. Steve Rabone won the 2nd NTP (495cm) and Stuart Brown the 17th (217cm).
Saturday 2nd February was our Monthly Medal combined with a White Course Single Stableford. Constant drizzle deterred some, but about 50 players started. The Medal was tied between Paul Cinat (18) and Brian Tulloch (15) on 69. Paul won the Best Nett on countback. Next month these two will play-off for the Medal. Scratch winner was Graham Dowdell (6) with 78. In a small field, Greg McDonald (19) took out the Single Stableford with 32 points. Balls went to 70. Saturday's Nearest the Pins awards and the NTP sponsors are as follows. 2nd hole sponsored by Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making, Darrell Gawthorpe (505cm). 5th hole sponsored by Leading Edge Computers, Katoomba, Paul Cinat 370cm. 7th hole sponsored by SiLLY MiLLY Kids Clothing, Brian Tulloch 340cm. 13th hole, sponsored by Blue Mountain Escapes, Stuart Brown 380cm. 14th hole sponsored by Scully Legal, Ian Downey 1100cm. 17th hole, sponsored by Ben Cameron, was won by Carlos Denoso with a shot to 36cm. This, being less than 1.5m, won him the Pro-Pin.
The Women’s Summer Comp continues. Saturday’s winner was Yvonne Murray (24) with 29 points.
Clive Woodforth won our Friday 9-hole stableford comp. This comp is open to anyone with a GA handicap. $5 for members and $15 for non-members. All you need is a marker.
