BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 2nd September, Single Stableford and 2BBB. Paul Rowe (15) was the winner in windy conditions with a good score of 39 points on count-back over Larry Manning. Paul also combined with Wally Shiel (26) to win the 2B with 77 points, a great effort in the wind. Balls to 34 points.

Saturday 5th September, Spring Cup (final round of the Vivaldi Cup), Monthly Medal and Single Stableford. Sponsors; Mike Gregg (Spring Cup), Mike Gregg and Martin Green (Vivaldi Cup). Monty Van-veen (28) was the winner of the Spring Cup with a fantastic 61 nett, Blake Ranse (10) was runner-up with 64 on count-back over Andrew Griggs (10), Cormac Miller (22) came in fourth with 67. Johnathon Van-veen won the Vivaldi Cup with a total of 27 points for the four legs of this event, Cormac Miller came in second with 24 points. Thanks to Martin and Mike for their continued, generous sponsorship of this great event. Medal results were as follows; A Grade resulted in a playoff between Blake Ranse Andrew Griggs, B Grade, Stuart Brown (13) and Ian Fitzgerald (12) were in a playoff for the August Medal which Stuart won with 67 nett, Larry Manning (18) also had 67 nett so they will play off next month and C Grade, of course, went to Monty Van-veen. James Robertson won the Stableford with 35 points. Balls went to 68 in the Stroke and 34 in the Stableford. Par 3 birdies went to; 2nd (BJR Climbing Equipment), Jim Walsh, Jason Duke, Stuart Brown, 5th (Leading Edge Computers), Andrew Lawson, 7th (Monocure 3D), Jack Walden, 13th (Victor Kanjian), Ian Foulsham, 14th (Ken Scully), no winners, 17th (Ben Cameron), Geoff Hilder.

BLACKHEATH LADIES

Thursday 3rd September, Single Stableford sponsored by Di Pease. Louise Aaron (37) was the winner with 43 points, a great score in the windy conditions! Sandra Draper (29) was an unlucky runner-up with 41 points, a score that would normally win the competition. Encouragement award went to Sonya Mills and Sandra Draper birdied the 13th, balls went to 31 points.

Saturday 5th September, Ladies Monthly Medal. In sunny and slightly breezy conditions, Louise Aaron (35) was the Medal winner for September with 69 nett over Maree Griffiths (33) with 71 on count back. Cindy Fitzgerald (20) won the scratch with 92 and Di Pease took out the putting competition with 32, balls went to 75 nett.
