Blackheath Golf Results - Wednesday 28th April to Saturday 1st May 2021

Blackheath Men…28th April was Midweek time at the Mountain’s top course. The winner of the Single Stableford was Lithgow visitor Anthony Potts (27) with 39 points on a countback from Roger Pierce (14) also on 39 points. The 2BBB result went the way of Captain, Brian Tulloch (17) and Rusty Curtis (7) with 46 points. Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Russell Curtis at 75 cms and on the 17th sponsored by Steve Tolhurst to Ken Scully at 2.2 metres.Balls went to 33 points and a good field of 59 players contested the event. Saturday 1st May was a Medley Single Stableford with the Men’s event being won by Paul loneragan (22) with 40 points ahead of Brett Scanlan (11) with 39 points and in 3rd position was Andrew Lawson (8) with 38 points. The Ladies daily event in conjunction with the Autumn Bowl was won by Rebecca Brown (26) with 44 points ahead of Roz Jackson (39) with 43 points while the Men’s daily event went to David Cuneen (25) with 40 points ahead of Colin Wood (12) with 40 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd went to Cindy Fitzgerald at 763 cms, on the Leading Edge Computer sponsored 5th to Janette Neal at 440 cms, on the Monocure 3D sponsored 7th to Gary Lenson at 66 cms, on the Victor Kanjian sponsored 13th to Mary Ann Adams at 410 cms, on the Ken Scully sponsored 14th to Andrew Lawson at 220 cms and on the Ben Cameron OneFiveFive sponsored 17th to Ian Cowper at 63 cms.Balls went to 37 points.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 29th April was the Annual Ladies Blackheath Open played as a Single Stableford and 2BBB event. The winner of Division 1 was Robyn Stapleton (18) with 35 points ahead of Carrie Soady (22) with 33 points on a countback. The winner of Division 2 was Etsuko Saxton (36) with 39 points ahead of Kim Burton (36) with 38 points. The 2BBB winners were Mary Petkevitch (26) and Jenny Meaney (40) with 52 points ahead of Rhonda Chruszca (45) and Yvonne Crock (41) with 46 points. The Division 1 Straightest Drive went to Mandy McAlister and the division 2 went to louise Aaron.Nearest the pin for Division 1 on the 2nd failed to go off, on the 7th to Shirley Owen, and on the 17th to Dorelle Pinch. Division 2 Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Eileen Baker, on the 13th to Hilda Grieve and the best 2nd shot on the 14th went to Susan Taylor. Next Thursday the ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Joan Hart.
