Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 23rd September - Saturday 26th September

BLACKHEATH MEN

Wednesday 23rd September, Single Stableford and 2B Aggregate. In wild and windy conditions, long-standing member Grahame Phillips (12) took the prize with a good round of 37 points over Walter Sheil (27) with 36 on count-back, Grahame also combined with Graham Jones (18) to win the 2B with 72 points over Stephen Rabone (14) and Karl Munchow (13) on 68. We had 48 players and balls went to 31 points on c/b.

Saturday 26th September was meant to be our Super Sixes, sponsored by Alistair and Rebecca Campbell but was postponed due to the terrible weather, A Single Stableford was played in it’s place and Michael Unsworth (17) was the victor with an impressive 35 points over Stephen Caswell (16) on 34, balls went to 29 points.

BLACKHEATH LADIES

Thursday 24th September, Ladies Single Stableford sponsored by Yvonne Murray, Young Do (34) was the winner with 38 points in windy conditions, over Karen Tolhurst (36) on 37 points. Encouragement Award went to Joan Aitken.

Saturday 26th September, Stableford event which was won by Jean Simpson (32) with 35 points on count-back over Christine Rhind (32). Thanks to all the courageous souls who took part!
